DC electric engines ventilation

Customer request

DC electric motors mounted on a papermaking machine must be cooled to prevent overheating.

Solution

Direct filtered inlet in the engines to extract air from outside.

Installation on the roof of the building of few ventilation units including filtering section with efficiency Class F9, connected to a galvanized piping line with circular section.

Design

• size of fans and relative capacity depending on engine power, performance and consequent generated heat dispersion
• extraction lines designed considering flow rates and the correct crossing speed inside the ducts

Special Notes

Given the considerable size of the plant components, they have been transported by helicopter.
